Fourth Annual ThinkCure! Weekend to Take Place June 24-26

Telethon, Radiothon, online auction and in-stadium events will raise funds for cancer research.

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers’ fourth annual ThinkCure! Weekend will take place Friday, June 24 through Sunday, June 26 as the Dodgers host the Angels at Dodger Stadium. Dodger broadcast partners PRIME TICKET, KABC 790 AM, 95.5 KLOS FM, KTNQ 1020 AM and KCAL 9, as well as www.dodgers.com/thinkcure and www.thinkcure.org/weekend, will join in to help promote awareness and raise funds for cancer research during and leading up to ThinkCure! Weekend. Fans can make donations to the Dodgers’ official charity online at thinkcure.org, by calling (866) 554-CURE or by texting CURE to 50555 to make a $10 donation through their mobile phone bill. Standard messaging rates apply.

This year’s ThinkCure! Weekend events will include programming on the Dodgers’ broadcast partner stations throughout the weekend, an enhanced online auction, Dodger player and coach participation, stories from cancer survivors, Dodger alumni and celebrity involvement and in-stadium entertainment. The Think Blue sign at Dodger Stadium will be changed to read “ThinkCure” and the official ThinkCure! logo will be painted on the field.

During ThinkCure! Weekend, ThinkCure! merchandise, including jerseys and wristbands, will be available at all Dodger Stadium merchandise locations for a suggested minimum donation.

The ThinkCure! online auction will begin at dodgers.com/thinkcure on June 21 and will run through June 28. Auction items include once-in-a-lifetime Dodger experiences, autographed Dodger memorabilia, gift certificates to Los Angeles area attractions and unique destination experiences. Highlights include:

• a visit with Vin Scully in his broadcast booth
• a baserunning lesson with Davey Lopes
• a trip to Churchill Downs to watch a race named in the winner’s honor
• an astronaut training experience at Kennedy Space Center
• a NASCAR racing experience
• the chance to throw out the first pitch at a Dodger game and more!
